When an overhead crane is installed it must pass a load test. The crane must support 100-125% of its working load limit for 5 minutes with no change in elevation. The load is then moved and a four corners test is performed to apply loading to the structure. At this time the building and crane structure are monitored for any unusual vibrations, wind bracing movement, and to check the end bumpers and end stops. Hoist & Crane Systems, Inc. furnished and installed this 10-ton crane in Charlotte and reported “the building passed with flying colors.”
Thanks to our partners, suppliers, and subcontractors for their hard work and dedication to deliver a building we’re all proud of!
