S.C. Hondros & Associates, Inc. recently completed the renovation of 7,300 sq. ft. of former cotton processing space to office space at Barnhardt Manufacturing Co. in Charlotte. Founded in 1900 as a supplier of layered cotton batting, horse drawn buggy seats, and filler for quilts and comforters, Barnhardt Manufacturing Co. has transformed its business to meet ever-changing market demands and now produces high quality, whitened & absorbent bleached cotton bales.

Barnhardt Manufacturing Co. were very clear in what they wanted in their Office space innovation, which made our job nice and easy. As you’ll see from the pictures, the newly renovated space features private offices, an open office area for multiple work stations, a break room and a training room. The original brick walls were left exposed to capture a sense of the company’s past while lighting, glass walls, and bright colors bring a modern feel to the space. To really bring the office into the 21st century, the company are considering adding some LED video displays and so we made sure to leave some wall space available for this. We will also need to get in touch with an electrician like the Electric Work Force Inc Electricians in Schaumburg, it’s a shame they’re not closer or we’d use them. It’s the same unfortunate situation with our plumber. We took accounts from others and researched online to see who we could hire to fix all the plumbing like the sinks in the break room and the lavatories in the restrooms. We heard so many good things about this one company in California called Dependable Rooters (visit this link for more https://dependablerootersac.com/plumber-folsom/) but of course they seem too far away. I suppose what appealed to us was the ability to work in different areas of the state, that is always a plus for a contracting company.
These sorts of displays have become very popular as of late, particularly in offices, where they act as a real statement and eye-catcher. You need to see examples to draw you to them in the first place. To see an example of one in situ, go to this site. Although, they are so popular, that the chances are you will have already seen one in passing somewhere.

The renovation was S.C. Hondros & Associates, Inc.’s second project with Barnhardt Manufacturing. In 1999 the two companies partnered to construct a 36,000 sq. ft. facility to house a cotton bleaching process line.
