S. C. Hondros & Associates, Inc. is under contract with Agracel, Inc. for the construction of a steel galvanizing facility in Blacksburg, South Carolina. The approximately 80,000 SF building will be occupied by Steel Creek Galvanizing Company LLC, a fabricated steel products galvanizer. The hot-dip galvanizing operation is designed to protect steel against rust and other corrosion and will be an environmentally-friendly, zero-emission operation.
The Pre-Engineered Metal Building is being designed and fabricated by Nucor Building Systems. Italy-based Gimeco Srl is designing and supplying the galvanizing system.
The development is projected to bring $14.1 million of new capital investment and lead to the initial creation of 72 jobs.
